This may be one of the the shortest tracks we'll ever review here at SwanoDown, but it's also one of the coolest. I've played this joint probably 5 times already. And guess what? It only took me a little over 2 minutes.
Clocking in at a solid 30 seconds, Yvi Wylde's track, Shine, packs a heavy punch. Hard hitting drums, funky guitar, and demonstrative vocals are all prevalent in this piece.
It makes me wonder if this was made for a commercial. It has the characteristics of song you'd hear within a fast paced advertisement. It catches your attention immediately, isn't shy, and is ust the right amount of time. Then again, maybe it's best as an album intro, prelude, or interlude. Regardless, of this composition's medium, it proves that sometimes "less is more."
