What The Piano Taught Me (Poem)

By Imani Wj Wright

What has the piano taught me?

Simply put- Beauty works within cohesion.

If I neglect a note, it disrupts the sound. If I hold a note down for too long, it could corrupt the piece. When my foot is weighing on the wrong pedal, the color of the song can be misinterpreted. Everything needs to flow in conjunction- Every White key, Every Black key and all the nuisances in between.

Without the right Piece, there will be no Peace.
