Wessmode taps into his emo side, delivering verses that echo the late Juice WRLD’s style. The line "You say you love me, but you're so easy to give it up" conveys sadness, yet, it's paired with a catchy trap instrumental. 

I'd say this blend of emotions has been popular since about 2010. What sets the song apart are the powerful trap bass and 808s, which bring a deep, vibrant energy, transforming the track from melancholy to an intense, passionate anthem. This is the type of song where you can hear the bass  3 cars down from you in traffic.
