SWANO'S 10 [VOLUME 3] PT.38

Curated by Lukey Lenz
Here at SwanoDown, we listen to a ton of music on a DAILY basis. And during these days, of course, there are standout tracks. Below you'll find the 10 compositions we feel you should check out tonight, (or soon). We find these artists to be the most cutting-edge. And oh yeah, this is in no particular order... You decide!
Compositionally elevated songs by artists such as Ruby Water, Amani Lia, and Brooke Annibale, are all featured today.

9rlfrnd– Attention

In the modern era, we have so many ways to see how and what our love-interest is feeling. Social media is used to get the attention we want, good or bad. 9rlfrnd speaks to us with great repose as she understands her current love interest is acting out publicly to ultimately get her…Attention.

Nova Luther– We’ll Be Okay

Boasting a very bright sound, Nova Luther’s We’ll Be Okay details how it feels to wake up in the morning and not feel like continuing the day. Despite this feeling, Luther explains we should keep an optimistic outlook.

Delilah Blower– NUNCA, NUNCA

Unfortunately, at the time of this piece, I cannot speak Spanish fluently. But luckily, music is very much based on feeling. This track polarizes the listener with soft percussion and Delilah’s siren-like voice.

REYSHA RAMI– Roc N Roll

I don’t go clubbing much anymore, but Roc N Roll has potential to be on several DJ sets due to its smooth instrumental and RAMI’s delivery.

Sashae’– Flashlight

Sounding straight out of a campfire sing along, this track has an eerie yet soothing essence to it. Sashae’s voice really cuts through the hollow sound, serving as the Flashlight cutting through the darkness.

Shanae– Illusions

People cannot ever really determine if someone is being genuine or illusory. In a vulnerable admission, Shanae’s Illusions describes her inability to be able to completely decipher the intentions of her lover.

Ruby Water– Open Arms

I remember being in middle school and loving the musical execution or simplistic instrumentals and very descriptive lyrics. Canadian artist, Ruby Waters inspires us to invite the challenges that the day brings and count on the people that are closest to us.

RAYVEN– Fly As Me

GTA Radio is actually one of the most fun implementations in the game and I could hear Fly As Me in my customized car. RAYVEN brings the energy on this track that would be perfect for a virtual cruise in the streets of Malibu.

Amani Lia– Tit 4 Tat

'Tit 4 Tat' is a track that jazz festivals will eat up. With hearty horns and anecdotal keys, Amani Lia floats her airy voice over an atmospherically misty instrumental.

Brooke Annibale– Be Around

With a spatial sound, Brook Annibale presents us with a style that captures the elements of being on a road trip in the middle of the desert or an expedition into outer space. Be Around has both bright/warm and cool/chilly components.
