Here at SwanoDown, we listen to a ton of music on a DAILY basis. And during these days, of course, there are standout tracks. Below you'll find the 10 compositions we feel you should check out tonight, (or soon). We find these artists to be the most cutting-edge. And oh yeah, this is in no particular order... You decide!
Compositionally elevated songs by artists like VX Duse, Aldvvin, and Dysphemic, are all featured today.
VX Duse- SIA (Acoustic Version)
This piece can easily pull at the heartstrings. From the gorgeously played guitar, to the beautifully sung vocals, this piece is quite enjoyable listen. The vocalist's timbre is reminiscent of Passenger, famously known for his single "Let Her Go".
Pale Moon- I confess
When this record first came on, I couldn't help but be reminded of "Hole In The Wall" by Moses Gunn Collective. It's one of my all-time favorites. The usage of avant-garde sounds, and distinctive vocals make for an incredibly enjoyable listening experience.
Dysphemic- Heaven is on Earth
This piece is next level. I could easily hear someone from WuTang doing an absolute number on this joint. Dope work!
ELIS NOA- Mad About You
I'm instantly reminded of Florence Welch as I listen to 'Mad About You'. The cinematic and almost operatic undertones of this piece are a story within themself, not to mention the professional vocal and instrumental approach to this record.
Cat Reynolds- Ancient History
Am I the only one who hears a little bit of a Coldplay comparison here? Reynolds is a consistently talented artist, and 'Ancient History' adds to his already impressive catalog. Reynolds does not miss when it comes to writing a fully comprehensive story.
Brooke Annibale- 5 AM
5 AM is quite a unique time. Depending on what day of the week it is or depending on the person, it can either be the start of your day, or the end of it. While i listen to Annibale's '5 AM', I can hear this being something I wake up to, or even something to calmly put an end to my long night. An artist who can grab you from several different moods is an artist bound to grasp a generation.
Aldvvin- Jesus Was A Junkie
Never have I heard a record as controversially bold as this one. Once you get past the title, you get a glimpse into the brilliant song concept that Aldvvin is presenting here. This record can make you cringe, smile, and ponder, all at the same time.
nxtime- 247365
This piece has all the making of a certified hit. From the wonderfully performed vocals, to the catchy numerical hook, this joint is without a doubt a treat!
Sacha Hoedemaker- Divergence
Professionalism at its peak... Hoedemaker gives a piece that is undeniably top notch piano work and composing. A GEM.
ANDI- Devil's Work
This piece has a very relatable story for many. The pop-styled direction on this, accompanied with the the boisterous instrumentation is solid!
Mikael Oterhals- Oskar
A gorgeously developed piece by Oterhals. It's something you can close your eyes to, and subtly drift away into your good thoughts.
