A track that makes me feel like I'm listening to Made in Lagos:
Dan Onkar- Feel Alive

One of my all-time favorite projects is Made in Lagos by Wizkid. In my opinion it's a revolutionary album, creating a huge push for Afrobeats, eventually becoming a nationally recognized and commercial genre. "Essence" featuring Tems was/is one of the hottest records in the world. So far me to think Onkar's record is one that level says a lot. It's catchy as hell and gives incredible vibes.

A record that impressed me with its lyrical display:
Mati- poetic flashbacks

I tend to find that great art is often associated with other great mediums of art. "poetic flashback" for example is accompanied by a very capturing cover art. Its colors are muted, but vivid in their mesh. The woman's stare is piercing through your soul with vigor, as her pinky finger is raised with poise. This same poise is shown in the ever so well-written lyrics of Mati. "Now it's like everything we do is for this social media. She probably want someone with status and a Wikipedia." Take a trip down this passionately, yet relatable written record. If you've lived a little, you get this.

A song that makes me close my eyes and puts me in the cinema: 
Baby J- Run Like Crazy

Geez, this piece is so gorgeous. But it kind of sneaks up on you. Ya know- Like that person you've seen A few times who was never on your radar, but one day you look at them and say: "Wow, they're beautiful." As the track grows, the instrumentation takes you on what feel like a calming sail, treading the sea, as J's vocals become more memorable and recitable. 

A piece that gave me some energy: 
Aso'D- After Me

Aso'D's approach to this record is all you need to know about the effect it'll have on you. The approach is straightforward and never seems to stop. It's a nonstop driving force. 

A song that makes me nostalgically emotional:
Noa Jamir- Nights

For those of us who met our lovers later on in life, or maybe haven't met them at all, did you ever get this thought that you wish you've met them earlier in life? Maybe you wouldn't have wasted your time in other relationships, or on the other side of things, maybe those experiences led you to be who you are today. Nonetheless, this piece induces those thoughts.
