SWANO5IVE. Ep13.

A song that makes me feel hopeful in lost relationships:
Catalina Cara- Daisies

This track feels dreamy. Everything from the instrumentation, to Catalina's reposeful voice is inviting and warm. As Cara describes the true feelings behind real loyalty and connection, you can't help but to feel inspired by her testimony. With as soothing as this track, make no mistake, it is just as motivating in its pace.

A record that sounds like it would thrive in almost any era:
Julia Logan- Forever Changes Around
Some music will always be relevant. Some music will always have a sound that transcends time. This is one of those tracks. The atmosphere Logan creates could go toe to toe with Fleetwood Mac in the 70s. Nonetheless, it could show up on your favorite dream-pop Spotify playlist as a new release. It simply wouldn't matter. This piece has a place in many generations to come.

A record that reminds on the not-so-fun uncertainties of love:
Chris- Love Me?

I know many of us have been in this situation, and if you haven't, well you're one of the lucky ones! Having feelings for someone who is so seemingly indecisive in their feelings about you can be one of the very worst predicaments to be in. You almost wish you never met that person, your mind/heart are racing a 1,000 miles a minute. But- depending on who the person is, there's something that still keep us around. Relive those feelings if you dare on "Love Me?" Better yet, if you're currently dealing with those emotions, this record will DEFINITELY make you feel heard!

A track with an early Kendrick production sound, and Jill Scott-esque vocals:
Angel Christina- Synergy

"You and me equals synergy." This record isn't long, doesn't say incredibly too much- but that's perfectly fine. It doesn't have to. This entire track feels like a humming massage, a sonic head rub. You know that dopamine release you receive from feeling appreciated and admired. Christina delivers all of those great sensations on Synergy.

Some of the most fire lyricism I've heard on a HipHop track under 2 minutes:
Wild East Radio- Faithful

Listen, if you're claiming to be one of the best or THE best in New York City, you have to come through with supreme confidence, undeniable swagger, and some top notch spitting abilities! Yo, not only does Wild East Radio provide all of the aforementioned qualities, they exceed in their wordplay. They're slick in their delivery, and know for a fact that their talent is hard to turn a blind eye too. You get an earful of dope lyrics, and one hell of a bop to dance to when you're feeling lit on a Friday night. Add to your playlist today, it's something I'm keeping on repeat.
