Shadi G- The Wound is the Place Where the Light Enters You (Track Review)

Written by Grayson Jones

I spent the better part of this afternoon elucidated. It became clear that Shadi G; producer and singer/songwriter from Sweden; is different. When I heard, The wound is the Place Where the Light Enters You, I was immediately in awe. Zoning tones, a bed of reverb and effortless harmony are three attributes prevalent in Shadi G’s music. Shadi’s range expands to an unreal decibel.

It’s nothing ever heard before when you take her soft delivery into account. As gentle as a hair pin falling to the ground, Shadi G expels any low-end from her voice and chastises me into a state of a tranquil atmosphere. The piece rolls on with this atmosphere and only becomes more relaxing. Genius melodies and a gash, big enough to store the light ambience derived from the instrumentation. There are many little hints in Shadi G’s music that nod to what she is capable of in so many genres. As if she didn’t already have her niche figured out, I had to check out Goddess pt.1, SPACE, and This love. A diamond in the rough vocally. Each song brought a new need for her in my playlists.

A diverse artist with a distinct character of instrumentation. Make a conscious choice and get some light in you today. This single The Wound is the Place Where the Light Enters you out now!
