How do you define love? Is it best shown through affection, actions, words? All of the above? If you’ve spent enough time on earth, at one point or another, you’ve experienced the L word. Though, no matter how you answered the question above, there are no words that can truly/properly describe the magnitude of feelings love creates.
But, just like many things in this world, there’s a side of love that turns what may be ideal into an ordeal— That’s heartbreak.
Sekou composes a highly vulnerable and relatable track with ‘Crying’. If you like the tone and/or approach of someone like a Sam Smith, then you’ll get lost in this record. Sekou speaks to their lover, emoting that if what they received from their last partner was considered “love” then they don’t want it. Be prepared to soak into your feeling on this one.
