Savannah Sgro- Until We Drink (Track Review)

Written by Miles Monroe II

When you’re drunk, there are not too many F’s given. The friendship label can go straight out the window when you’re gone off a fifth of Hennessy. Those feelings arise and there is nothing in the way to fight what could happen next. Savannah Sgro’s newest track, Until We Drink, goes inside the psyche of two people whose true feelings come out while they’re intoxicated. There’s a reason why women and men sometimes do not make the best combination of friends. Being around each other for a long time can build up a subconscious romantic interest in both parties involved.

Savannah is great at bringing the story to life with her imagery. She goes above and beyond to ensure that her audience can feel like they are inside the story.

In the kitchen doing shots around the sink

Sloppy dancing turns to kissing in your sheets

Lines like these are ones that you can easily visualize. Let’s face it, we’ve all been there before. This is what happens at 99% of parties and kickbacks. Savannah sets an uneasy energy, giving us the feel of not knowing what to do when you can only show your true sentiments when you’re under the influence. She captures every element of a friendship trending towards a relationship with a few questionable decisions. Check out this relatable piece with the link below:
