It’s not too often I find myself enjoying remixes/covers. A lot of the time the interpretation of the track doesn't add anything new or noteworthily different to an already good song. That being said, Paxaura did not disappoint with his track, "Flashing Lights". If this sounds familiar, well it samples Hip-Hop legend Kanye West’s "Flashing Lights", from his 2007 album, Graduation.
With an upbeat cadence and flow, Paxaura brings a new sound to an already great sample. As we see the signs of the end of the “mumble rap” era, a new technological and fast paced era has emerged and has been exhibited by youth favorites like Yeat and Destroy Lonely. Paxaura and his engineers subverted the sound of the original "Flashing Lights" and added an element not found in the original.
On many of his other tracks there is an ethereal presence that is embedded within the music, making them more enticing to the ears.
