It's not always about what you say, it's about how you say it.
Misty Galactic's single, "The Worst," is the quintessential example of that.
From start to finish, this track is atmospheric. While listening, I felt lost in a Misty-created haze. The instrumentation sets the mood quite effortlessly. You know without a doubt that you're about to go on a lyrical journey for the next 3:38.
Look at the cover. You see it? Yeah, that's a badass. And Ms. Galactic is not shy in proving it. Her confidence, vocal color, and control of the track affirm that.
The storytelling is mysterious, but simultaneously straightforward. The way she sings: "you make me feel so damn nervous," gets you to truly believe her. Misty has sculpted her vocal style in a memorable way. Subtle but fierce. Controlled but vulnerable.
This was my first impression- and it's sure to be a lasting one.
