Mikahl Anthony's "La Flare" immediately grasped my attention and put me in a time machine. It was a smooth ride to a very crucial period in my own personal development as an artist.
The production, coated with the sound of what seems to be rain reminds me of some early Tyler, the Creator production. If you've ever listened to the track "She" by Tyler ft. Frank Ocean, you can easily hear the resemblance. While the opening vocals are reminiscent of Anthony Mills from Wildcookie. The sound is a bit ominous, but sensual.
On this one record, you hear an artist who is not trapped in a box, but is instead free in the world of creativity. I'm eager to hear more of Anthony's work.
