Quarantine has been a time filled with many opportunities to hear new, good music. After spending so many days working from home, just like everyone else, I found myself quickly flocking towards keeping my spotify on– at all times. When I’m working or relaxing, I always keep it on shuffle. As my playlists continuously grow, I’m always looking for new talent to showcase on each of them.
One of these up and coming artists that I’ve recently added to my playlists is Kate Vogel. WIth over 5,000 followers on Instagram and an impressive 85,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, there’s a reason people are starting to take note of Kate’s growing success in the music industry. Recently, Kate dropped a track titled “Ghost in these Streets." Upon my first listen, I realized just how much I liked this song.
Kate Vogel has an extremely calming and beautiful voice that makes her music so much better than the typical singers we nay hear often. Ghost in These Streets is no different. Every time I play through it, I feel myself soothing a little bit, which is an impressive ability for an artist to have on their audience, intentional or not. Her vivid songwriting is exceptional as well. Kate has a very bright future in the music industry, and I’m extremely excited to see where it will go from here.
