Julian Greene- Slow Down (Track Review)

Written by Miles Monroe II

Julian Greene sets the vibe on his latest track, Slow Down, as he crafts the quintessential trap love song. Falling for someone seems to be more common in this era, leading to many life altering broken hearts. Either those people become hopeless romantics or become the heartbreakers. On Slow Down, we see what happens when you show your cards too soon. That level of comfort with an unknown soul could do more harm than we think.

At times, it can feel as though the clock has a rubber band on both hands. It’s important to live in the moment, but don’t let your guard down. It’s an important message because you can avoid dumb mistakes by keeping your emotions in check. Slow Down, has an unavoidable melody that you will catch yourself singing for no reason at all. I can see creating memorable melodies is one of Julian’s strong suits, along with songwriting.

We feel the ups and downs of a relationship with this song, pleading for a reconciliation while offering the chance to leave if the feelings aren’t mutual. Slow Down is such a relatable song. I think this can catch on, especially with females. I won’t be surprised by this song gaining traction.
