Jay Marwaha- Sitting in the Park (Track Review)

Written by Imani Wj Wright

I'll be honest, when I first heard this track I had to ask myself: "How do I feel about this?" The sound is so true to itself, uniquely its own. Billy Stewart's Sitting in the Park, is heavily sampled throughout the piece,  substantiating the entire structure for the song (hence the title), and Jay Marwaha is sort of half singing and half talking.

What's the end result of the aforementioned? Well, I've been singing it ALL DAY. Jay's  Avant-garde approach to rhythm, sense of melody, and genuinely innocent tone, makes this cut quite playlist friendly.

Sunny day? This song fits. Need to laugh? This song works. Need some motivation? Hey.. I think I have a song that'll brighten you up. The songwriting here makes for a fun and well written piece. And I forgot to mention, Jay's British accent also adds a kick to the overall tone.
