One of my favorite things about writing for SwanoDown is that I get put on to new artists allll the timeee. Not only am I kept abreast of what music is already out there, but I am able to keep an eye out for what is to come as well. Twenty-three-year old artist ELEVYNN, real name Isaiah Gibson, is a great example of the consistent wave of new talent currently on the radar.
After having blown up on Voisey, which is an app for singers and rappers to put their skills out there, Gibson was discovered by Tristan Rice, a Grammy-nominated and Platinum writer who has worked with Chris Brown, Sevyn Streeter, Brandy, and Steflon Don, just to name just a few. Isaiah describes his musical style as chill, soulful, and unique. This summer, he plans on releasing his first-ever single, which is to be co-written by Jessica Jolia, a voting member of the Recording Academy who has performed and recorded with artists such as Dr. Dre and The Jonas Brothers. With all the professional support Isaiah has behind him, I’m excited to see what he has in store for us. Make sure you're tuned in, I know I will be.
