What is love?
Well, Chicago artist KB Mike has created a song to tell us his definition. “L.O.V.E.” is the title of KB’s new single and I promise this song will hit hard for all us hopeless romantics out here.
I don’t think anyone has a solid definition for what love is, but KB Mike gives us a raw idea of what he knows represents love for him. The tone of his voice is assuring and gritty. The Hip-Hop instrumental is soft but hits hard at the same time. The combination of the two actually may bring a couple tears to your eyes.
I can tell that KB Mike was very vulnerable on “L.O.V.E.” He sings with passion and his lyrics get straight to the point. “Love is when you love their flaws, love is when you stick through the shit even when it’s hard,” he says he is willing to go through whatever it takes, true love is unconditional to a certain extent. “Sometimes it’s hard to know what’s fake and what the fuck is real, what is love?”
I have to respect his honesty and how beautifully he expresses his lyrics. I added “L.O.V.E” to my music library as soon as I heard it and I think a lot of you will do the same.
