With no overt introduction, Australian artist Cmplxtra immediately puts you in his mind on inertia. At first, we are in an edgy, soft, pop-rock era of sound that is floating a teen anguish story about vices, but gradually it evolves past that.
A few electronic elements are added to this track and take several pit stops in the Black Eyed Peas area of sound. As the song reaches its climax, Cmplxtra elevates the emotion of "Inertia" and launches us into a guitar breakdown that is energetic and forceful- emulating that of a Fallout Boy or Green Day.
This track intrigued me from beginning to end with its diverse use of sounds and vocal performance.
