At least 15 people are dead and several others are injured after an SUV collided with a big rig in Holtville in Imperial County on Tuesday morning.

The authorities confirmed that 14 people died at the scene of the accident.

Another person died while receiving treatment at El Centro Regional Medical Center.

Three other people are in the intensive care unit at the hospital.
