Ark Woods- Slide On You (Track Review)

Written by Kayla Allen

I don’t know about you, but I have been in need of a up-tempo feel good hip hop track. Luckily, “Slide On You” by artist Ark Woods is a fun, light and modern rap song.

This single is about Ark confessing his feelings to a person of interest and he is more than willing to just pull up. You know they say ‘actions speak louder than words,’ but here’s a bit of what Ark Woods had to say in his single: “She pull me in like a lasso, grass grows greener on this side, no sweat, no hassle, easy on this ride, genie in a bottle and my wish is I’m thinking me you and some kids,” he has clever wordplay and delivered the message for sure. I love the hook of the song mostly because of how up beat and memorable it was. Also, the background vocals on the hook added a youthfulness to the record.

Ark Woods is definitely bringing the heat this year with his new single “Slide On You” and he released another single earlier this year called “Strings” that is also fire but a whole different vibe from “Slide On You”.

Ark Woods is based in Hawaii so it’s no surprise he creates to move your hips. Make sure you add “Slide On You” to all of your feel good summer playlists, this one is essential.
