My guitar is not a thing. It is an extension of myself. It is who I am. – Joan Jett
I listen to a significant amount of music as an entertainment journalist. It goes without saying that I see/hear varying levels of talent, personalities, and dedication. Not everyone has the same level of drive, or even enjoyment in the art they create. So, when I see an artist who is as willingly immersed in their work as guitarist Omer B, it’s hard not to feel a certain level of vicarious motivation for whatever it is you’re trying to achieve.
On November 26, B will be releasing a new single titled “Sneak String”, This record is slated to have elements of several genres including rock, funk, and pop. Omer will not be solo on this track though. The track features dynamic guitar work shared between Omer B and Sasha Svy, with Ana Pshokina laying down a funky bassline and Abramo Riti on the Hammond organ.
Listening to funky records by Omer such as “Stick Shift Rift” and “Wait For It”, I’m excited to see how audiences will feel and how they will react to “Sneak Song”. Buckle up and turn up the car speakers on November 26, it’s going to be a groovy ride!
