4 More 4 You: A SwanoDown Series [4th Edition]

Monotronic- Looking Away

Some songs have the unabashed ability to give you a sense of vigor. The driving drums and vocals here do that with no problem. The lead singing on "Looking Away" are strong and musically in tandem with the instrumentation/soundscape. I hear emotion in vocals that you'd hear from the likes of Ziggy Alberts. It has a timeless sound and is easily one of my new favorite records.

J'calm- Distance

"Out of sight, out of mind." Have you ever heard that expression? it's one of the most true phrases. If you've ever experienced not seeing someone for a certain amount of time, it is true that they may begin to slip further and further to the back of your memory. Though, there are some people you just simply can't forget regardless of the distance between you two. You hear J'Calm describe this phenomenon on Distance. Take a listen to this sentimental track.

Sara Tascha- Crave

Don't ask Sara to go, she's not going to listen. Have you ever heard songs like "Cross My Mind" by Jill Scott? Is it a song? Technically yes. But more than that. it's  a sultry poetic monologue accompanied by instrumentation. "Crave" by Sara Tascha is on the same wavelength. You almost feel like you're being let in on someone's internal thoughts or a private conversation with their lover. This is one of those records that'll teach you how to whisper in your partner's ear. Listen closely

Bastian Weinig- Blues Tune [Live]

This is the type of recording that I love to sit back and listen to with no distractions. Just as “Blues Tune” has a certain focus and precision to it, the audience should approach the piece in the same manner. The trio has some phenomenal musicianship. Give it a listen
